The two mature lakes have been made by damming a stream in a natural valley and the water tumbles down from one lake to the next.
The two lakes are adjacent to each other and measure around 4 acres in total. They’re comparable in size with similar stock density.
Both lakes are roughly rectangular in shape and fringed by mature beech, oak, willow and alder trees. The willows create plenty of shady cover and provide bays to fish to on long summer days.
The large oak and beech trees around the lakes provide welcome shade for fishermen on hot days.
There are no poisson chat and the ubiquitous crayfish are kept under control by the resident Silure (Wells catfish).
Vehicular access is possible to both lakes so unloading fishing gear is nice and easy.
