The lake dates back to 1938 and boasts an area in excess of 4 acres, ranging in depth from approximatey to 8 1/2 feet at it deepest shallowing to 1 foot in the margins. The water is constantly stream fed at the southern end, with a regulated water gate outlet at the northern end. There are two small islands to the west side of the lake, these are both for the exclusive use of the wildlife. Two small boats are available to facilitate the un-snagging of lines and tackle. For added comfort there are 4 wooden cabins situated at the back of each swim, so no need to cram your bivvy in anymore or a bedchair - perfect!
