The lake is in the region of Chateauroux which is approximately 2 hours drive from Paris , of which 90% is motorway and just over 5 hours from Calais . The lake has its own entrance and is completely self-contained. It is fishable from all sides and a fishing party of 3 – 5 anglers has sole use of the lake. The lake is approximately 12 acres set in 17 acres of land. The lake has a depth of 9ft at the dam end and around 2ft at the shallows.
The lake is mature, having been dug in 1941. It has remained in the same family, having only been used for breeding ducks and water fowl, until it was sold in 2002. There is one island and quite a few gravel bars with plenty of overhanging trees and bushes. Any bad snags below the water level have been removed to allow for excellent fishing. The lake has a good bottom with minimal silt.
